We've put together a short guide and the requirements for using Arisen Studio. Need more help or got some other questions? You can join our Discord Server if something isn't covered here, or you just want to chat.
After installing Arisen Studio and opening the app, you will be prompted to create a console profile. It's easy to create a console profile with your console information and details. Just give it a recognizable name for the Connection Name, for the Platform you choose the console and model from the dropdown list, enter the local IP Address in the textbox below (you will find the IP Address in Network settings somewhere on the console). Click OK when you're done and that's all.
In the top left under the Home tab there is an option to Connect Console. You can either do this now to make sure you entered the right IP Address for the console profile, or later when you install mods. Remember: You must have either Rebug Toolbox, multiMAN or webMAN MOD for this to work. If you have multiMAN or Rebug Toolbox, you need to run it on your PS3 first before connecting. If you have webMAN MOD installed however, it's always running, just make sure the PS3 is running.
On the left side of Arisen Studio you will see different categories underneath the Library section. Depending on the platform that's currently chosen on your profile, you will see different categories for that platform. For PlayStation 3 there will be; Here are the types of Game Mods, Homebrew, Resources, Packages and Game Saves. For Xbox 360 there will be Plugins and Game Saves. You can filter by name, mod type, console type, region, version, creator and status. Different categories have different filtering options. You can then sort results by column name, ascending or descending.
Here comes the easy part. Once you have found a mod you like and are connected to the console, you can now easily install the files with a click of a button. Open the mod details and navigate to the "Downloads" tab, depending on the mod there may be a few different versions, but for this example we'll use the latest (usually the first one). On the right side there will be 3 icons; Install, Download and a dropdown which shows the files required for the mods to work. Just click the first icon and it will begin transferred the files to their appropriate file paths on your console. In some cases and depending on your settings there might be a few prompts, one of which asks if you would like to backup the original files (recommended) so that you when you uninstall, the original files go back where they belong to.
This is generally caused by an antivirus or firewall blocking files. Add Arisen Studio to your exception list and retry the installation.
This is generally because our source code isn't protected and/or signed with Windows. It's a false positive. Arisen Studio is completely open source which means you can also check out the code for anything you suspect might be malicious.
For Arisen Studio to work properly, make sure you have the following requirements. If you're still having issues please open a ticket here.
PS3
You must have either multiMAN or Rebug Toolbox homebrew application open when connecting and installing mods/files. Optionally, webMAN MOD is required for some of the other features to work.
Xbox 360
You must have Neighborhood installed on your computer. DashLaunch & xbdm.xex as Plugin #1
We cannot provide an ETA of when a mod will be released or updated. We only source them. If any are outdated please let us know!
Any issues with mods (e.g. function not working) should be reported to the appropriate creator/owner as we can't do anything about this. If a new version is released then we'll add that version to our database. You can also check out #modding where other modders could be able to help.
We love to hear your ideas to help make this project even better! Please let us know in #suggestions so we can discuss it before going further.
